In a humble garden shed in deepest Suburbia, four young idealists have decided to form a new political party to save the world from itself. The new fifth member, Duncan, sets about saving the world from them. Party is a new comic play about coffee, whether to call the party 'The Friendly Party' or 'Gladios'. And when exactly, they should break to eat cake.

Two years after he stormed the fringe, picking up the 'if.comedy Best Newcomer' award, a raft of glowing reviews and enjoying packed out shows, TOM BASDEN is back with a solo show and this; his beguiling and startlingly accomplished debut play. Displaying the same deft wit that brought him into the public eye at the fringe and the subsequent success of the BAFTA nominated 'The One and Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island', as well as BBC4's 'Cowards', Basden's astonishing new play is by turns hilarious and incisive, poignant and tragic.

Basden is joined by a cast of the boldest and most imaginative comics on the fringe; ANNA CRILLY (British Comedy Awards Best Newcomer Nominee 2008, star of BBC2's Lead Balloon), TIM KEY (BBC4's Cowards, We Need Answers, Screenwipe - BAFTA nominee) KATY WIX (Extras, Time Trumpet), and JONNY SWEET (Writers Guild Nominee) and directed by Fringe First winner PHIL BREEN.

it starts at 7.30 pm

Secret Wars at the V & A

The Raphael room at the V&A provided an amazing backdrop for a 90 minute drawing battle between Debut artists ; Craig Ward, Chris Price & myself Vs Dutch Uncle illustrators Noma Barr, Kustaa Saksi & Dermot Flynn. We were the winners based on the volume of the audiences reaction to the final drawing.

The lids were off!

Last week Iris organised a debut art pictionary type battle between Harry Malt and myself. We had two minutes to interpret phrases drawn randomly from a hat. Thanks to Adrian for organizing it all, its was loads of fun...

Check out Iris' 'Under the Influence' blog for more pics from the evening....
